My husband, my sister-in-law, and I went out for dinner yesterday, and it was such a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service couldnβt have been better. We started with two appetizers to share β the tartare and the ceviche β both fresh, full of flavor, and a perfect start to the meal! For the main course, I had the scallop risotto, which was creamy and divine, while they both ordered the fish papillote. The presentation was beautiful, and the combination of the fish with the vegetables was simply delightful. Every dish was bursting with flavor! To finish, we shared a tres leches cake β so good! I highly recommend this restaurant. Itβs a lovely spot with a beautiful view, amazing food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. A special thank you to our wonderful server, who made the evening even more enjoyable!

Best meal in our 3 days in Tassie. Flexible on reservation, communicative service and above all - GREAT FOOD GREAT TASTE. Okay except 2 of the 6 oysters we ordered were a bit under in terms of freshness, a bit off on the taste. Highly rec tuna tartare, squid, ceviche, king prawn linguine.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at The Boat Yard and had the most beautiful evening. The staff were genuinely lovely, the wine selection was fantastic, and the food was absolutely delicious. The team even surprised us with a thoughtful card which made the night feel extra special. Highly recommend!
Great place to visit! I went for an early dinner on taco Tuesday and the tacos were delicious! Just fresh, simple and tasty. I also had oysters as an entree and they were so good. Lovely layout and ambience had semi fancy yet casual vibes. Great on a sunny afternoon/early dinner. The only minor downside I would say is the service was a tad bit slow after getting the dessert/drinks menu, and I ended up deciding to skip a dessert or final drink because of the wait - but the staff were really lovely and they were also quite busy. Well priced for what you get.
Amazing food. We ordered the Tasmanian scallops, fish & chips and sashimi. The fish & chips were so fresh and one of the best we've had so far. Ellina was extremely helpful and served us with a smile. We were glad we managed to have our lunch here before leaving Launceston.
We ordered 2 entree, one is ceviche, another was roasted Octopus skewers ( forgot to take photo but it was soooo goooood!!!). The main was the main highlight of the night, The best seafood chowder I have ever had!!
For our 3 year anniversary, my partner and I decided to book the Boatyard as the menu catered for both of our dietary restrictions. I have to say that we were both completely amazed by the the quality of the food we received. We order the daily sashimi (kingfish), calamari, tuna tartare, scallops and paella - best money we've ever spent on food. Our waitress Jess was friendly and very accommodating towards us, and made the experience even better. We will definitely be visiting again to try a few more dishes!
